a Faculty Improvement programme in the School on ( 8th & 9th of March 2019)
Technology has revolutionized every sphere and impacted the education sector as well. Increased use and integration of technology brought tremendous changes in the role of teachers in the education system. New demands are often placed on the schools in addition to the existing ones, to be equipped with current knowledge and modern methods of acquiring new knowledge. Accordingly it was deemed fit to reflect, discuss and assess the possible ways to improve the day to day communication between teachers and their wards in the class rooms. Hence a two days workshop on ‘New Trends in Education’ was conducted by Mr. Thomson the founder and CEO of ELOIT INNOVATIONS PVT. LTD., an Education Technology that supports the whole school management and system – level improvement.
With the help of videos and PowerPoint he explained the concepts to teachers, including three Cs, difference between old and new environment, effective classroom management skills etc. He outlined the objectives and measures of training sessions to all participants.
The main objectives of the two days seminar was to share knowledge among teachers, to discuss strategies for effective classroom teaching – learning and to motivate teachers to use creative and effective ways in teaching to reduce the stress in students and to make learning a joyful experience for the young generation.
The main focus of the workshop was on the following New Trends in Education’.
The resource persons held interactive sessions and emphasized the need to revamp our systems and bring in the new methodologies, so as to prepare not only the students but teachers as well for this futuristic trend in education.
Overall the workshop was motivational, inspiring and effective. It was amazing and wonderful experience for all the participants learning new methods in their profession. Facilitators were motivated and showed a positive interest to adopt new strategies for classroom teaching. The dynamic, vision of the Principal Sr. Crispin gave very encouraging and stimulating note to the whole programme. School Director Rev. Fr. William expressed his gratitude towards the resource person for sharing his expertise with the staff.
