Sacred Heart Convent Sen. Sec. School, Sahnewal celebrated  Children’s Day   CUM Grandparents’ Day:

“There‘s nothing like a grandchild to put a smile on grandparent’s face, a lump in their

Throat and a warm feeling in their heart”

On the occasion of Children’s Day (14th November, 2019)  the students of Class K.G and primary wing have organized a special cultural program for their loving grandparents to make them feel special. The celebrations began with the lighting of the lamp and a prayer dance. The chief guest was welcomed with a sapling by the Principal Rev. Sr. Crispin Maria. The day was celebrated by conducting a plethora of activities for the grandparents in the school.

The function was also decorated with various cultural events performed by tiny tots. The spark of the show was ‘The Bhangara’ which made the grandparents swing and swoon with the little angels. To make grandparents cherish their old memories myriad of games were organized and Grandparents enjoyed a fun-filled game of musical chair the most. A reward of appreciation was awarded to the winning grandparent. Students expressed their love, respect, and gratitude to their grandparents through speech and poem. The school was buzzing with excitement and colorfully dressed students. To capture all these precious moments a selfie corner was also placed and grandparents enjoyed a memorable time with their grandchildren. Refreshments were offered to all the grandparents present at the function. The chief guest lauded the school’s effort. He congratulated the school for taking an effort of reviving moral values in our society.  To express gratitude towards the chief guest, he was honored with a memento and was also adorned with Siropa.
