Effective career counseling is the need of the hour . Sacred Heart Convent Sr. Sec. School, Sahnewal organized a Carrier guidance session for the students of Class X by Dr.Navneet Guri Marketing Head ‘SHINE INSTITUTE’ ( Sacred Heart Institute for National Entrance) Ludhiana. As many as 120 students attended the workshop. The discussion was divided into three sessions, each relating to three streams: Arts, Commerce and Science. The Resource person listed out points to be taken into consideration before launching headlong into a career of choice. She fielded the queries from students and motivated them to choose a profession of their choice. All the students have undergone a psychometric career assessment, which tested their aptitude, personality and interests at the close of the session. The session was interesting and useful for the students to choose the subjects according to their potential and career aims. The students were made aware of many career options and even entrepreneurship as a career opportunity.
